Spring Prix Brno returns. Organizers report nearly 200 registered riders

After a one-year break, the traditional motorcycle event is returning to the Automotodrom Brno. The Spring Prix Brno, taking place from April 24 to 26, will open the domestic road racing season. The comeback of this popular race weekend follows last year’s extensive track reconstruction and promises an exciting spectacle across a wide range of racing classes.

This year’s edition brings an interesting highlight for both fans and riders: for the first time, the Spring Prix  Brno will be held on a new surface already tested by MotoGP stars.

“The Spring Prix Brno has long held a firm place in the Czech road racing calendar, and for both riders and us, it represents the true start of the motorcycle season. From an international perspective, this year’s programme at the Brno Circuit will be particularly diverse. We’re all the more pleased that a strong group of domestic riders will be part of it,” says Miroslav Bartoš, CEO of Automotodrom Brno.

As tradition dictates, the event will feature large starting grids across multiple categories. Machines ranging from small 125cc bikes to powerful superbikes will take to the track. Spectator-favourite historic motorcycle races in the Oldtimer categories will also be part of the programme, bringing the atmosphere of a historic era back to life.

Nearly 200 riders from the Czech Republic and abroad will line up for the opening round of the season. The race schedule spans two days, with a total of 14 thrilling races set to take place from Saturday to Sunday. The grid will feature both seasoned veterans and young, talented riders aiming for top results.

Spectators can watch the races from the grandstands along the start-finish straight as well as from the banked area C. An open paddock will once again be available, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at the race weekend and the chance to get up close with teams and riders.
