Rules for Visitors of the BRNO CIRCUIT

These Rules for Visitors of the BRNO CIRCUIT apply to all persons entering the grounds of the BRNO CIRCUIT upon the presentation of a valid entrance ticket or invitation. It contains basic information on the rules for entering and staying on the grounds of the BRNO CIRCUIT.

  1. A visitor of the BRNO CIRCUIT is considered to be anyone who enters the grounds of the BRNO CIRCUIT, the boundaries of which are delimited by a fence and are within the cadastral area of Ostrovačice and Žebětín.
  2. Entering the BRNO CIRCUIT and staying therein is upon the condition that those who do so complying with laws, regulations and other subsidiary legislation, internal rules of the BRNO CIRCUIT, these Rules and by following the instructions of promoters and organizers of happenings and events held at the BRNO CIRCUIT.
  3. The BRNO CIRCUIT may be entered, driven in or exited only via the official entrances and entrance gates.
  4. Every person entering the BRNO CIRCUIT shall be obliged to behave in such a way that no damage is caused to the BRNO CIRCUIT or its facilities, and they shall also be obliged to keep it clean and in order.
  5. Every person entering the BRNO CIRCUIT does so at their own risk and acknowledges this and takes due note that motorsports are very dangerous.
  6. Every person enters the BRNO CIRCUIT at their own risk with regard to their current health status. Every person entering the BRNO CIRCUIT acknowledges and takes due note, especially with regard to their current health status, that there may be elevated concentrations of exhaust fumes at the grounds of the BRNO CIRCUIT.
  7. The operator of the BRNO CIRCUIT reserves the right to deny access to a person or to have a person removed from the premises of the BRNO CIRCUIT without any compensation, if such a person fails to comply with the instructions of the promoters and organizers of happenings and events held at the BRNO CIRCUIT, or if the behaviour of such a person is found to be inappropriate (e.g. attacking another visitor or promoter, racially motivated chanting, etc.). Any person that is intoxicated or under the influence of drugs will not be admitted to the BRNO CIRCUIT, or will eventually  be removed from the grounds of the BRNO CIRCUIT without any compensation.
  8. The entrance ticket to the BRNO CIRCUIT is valid exclusively for the stated day, hour, happening, place and section, row and place indicated therein. The entrance ticket is only valid if presented in an unmodified, undamaged and complete condition with a unique barcode generated by the Operator of the BRNO CIRCUIT, which entitles its holder to only a single entry to the BRNO CIRCUIT.
  9. Any subsequent transfer, sale or disposal of the entrance ticket without the prior consent of the Operator of the BRNO CIRCUIT and the promoter, or an attempt to subsequently sell the entrance ticket at a higher price than printed on the ticket, shall make the entrance ticket invalid. The holder of such a ticket will be denied access to the BRNO CIRCUIT or they will be removed from the grounds. These tickets may be confiscated and provide no grounds for compensation of their nominal price or any other form of compensation. The buyer or holder of an entrance ticket may not dispose of it in any way related to promotions (including any contests and consumer lotteries) of the buyer or holder of the entrance ticket or any products or services for any commercial or other purposes without the prior written consent of the Operator of the BRNO CIRCUIT and the promoter. The same applies to any part thereof. The entrance ticket is a valuable - counterfeiting or alteration thereof is strictly prohibited. The Operator of the BRNO CIRCUIT will deny access to holders of such entrance tickets.
  10. Every person entering the BRNO CIRCUIT will be obliged to pass an entry check which verifys the validity of the entrance ticket entitling that person to attend the respective happening being held at the BRNO CIRCUIT. The entry check is performed by bar code scanners or, in case of equipment failure, by visual control. Should the control system indicate that an entrance ticket is invalid, the holder of such a ticket is entitled to make a complaint at the complaint point of the BRNO CIRCUIT.
    Upon presentation of the invalid ticket a complaint protocol will be drawn up. If the complaint is found to be justified, a duplicate of the entrance ticket or a new ticket will be issued.
  11. After leaving the grounds of the BRNO CIRCUIT a one-day entrance ticket becomes invalid, unless the promoter of the respective event marks the ticket as “return” or unless it concerns a special entrance ticket to which this rule does not apply and to which special rules apply as specified by the promoter (e.g. a weekend pass). The holder of the entrance ticket is obliged to carry the ticket on them for the entire duration of their stay at the BRNO CIRCUIT and to immediately present the ticket for control at the request of any members of the promoter’s service.
  12. Anyone who notices a defect or malfunction in the grounds or facilities of the BRNO CIRCUIT that may endanger the safety of persons or that may cause damage to property, is obliged to immediately report such a defect or malfunction to the promoter’s service.
  13. Anyone who becomes injured, or witnesses and injury in the grounds, is obliged to inform the Operator of the BRNO CIRCUIT thereof. The Operator of the BRNO CIRCUIT shall not be liable for any damages caused to the property and health of visitors, if such is caused by the irresponsible behaviour of other persons present.
  14. Every person entering the BRNO CIRCUIT consents to a personal security check and a security check of their luggage with the aim to secure the safety of other persons and property at the BRNO CIRCUIT. Refusal to undertake the security check constitutes grounds for denying access to the BRNO CIRCUIT.
  15. Unless the Operator of the BRNO CIRCUIT decides otherwise, it is prohibited to bring to the BRNO CIRCUIT any alcohol, umbrellas (with the exception of retractable umbrellas in case it rains), food and drink (with the exception of certified medicines), bottles, pressurized items, containers of all kinds (glass or PET bottles, cans, bowls, etc.), unworn clothing, political and promotional materials, glass or glass objects, drugs, toxic or psychotropic substances, oversized luggage, weapons (stabbing, cutting, firearms, etc.), chains, scissors, notebooks, any kinds of recording devices, either data, picture or sound (exceptions are generally granted by the promoter of an event), explosive substances (demolitions, explosives and explosive combustibles, including fireworks), combustibles, bicycles, scooters (and other means of transportation or sport equipment and apparatuses) and other dangerous items that could cause damage to health or property of both the BRNO CIRCUIT, the promoter of the event including their personnel, as well as visitors. The degree of danger posed by individual items is determined by the Operator of the BRNO CIRCUIT or the promoter of an event.
  16. At the BRNO CIRCUIT it is strictly prohibited to enter places outside the premises delimited for visitors; each visitor may only enter those areas they are entitled to according to their entry ticket.
  17. Every person entering the BRNO CIRCUIT acknowledges and takes due notice that the race track is surrounded by a fence which separates the race track from the spectator grandstands (both the natural and seat grandstands), and that entry beyond this fence is strictly prohibited. Every person entering the BRNO CIRCUIT acknowledges and takes due notice that it is prohibited to overcome the fence in any way or to come close to the race track in any other way. Every person entering the BRNO CIRCUIT acknowledges and takes due notice that it is prohibited to touch the fence that separates the race track from the grandstands (both the natural and seat grandstands) in any way, especially to climb it, jump at it or to lean on it in any way.
  18. Every person entering the BRNO CIRCUIT acknowledges and takes due notice that it is prohibited to step beyond any security tape placed anywhere in the grounds of the BRNO CIRCUIT. It is understood that security tape is specifically put in place to prevent entry to the race track, to maintain a safe distance from the race track so as protect the life and health of the person concerned, in places where there is believed to be a sufficient risk to life, health and property, and in particular to cordon off areas subject to ongoing construction or maintenance works, etc.
  19. Every person entering the BRNO CIRCUIT is obliged to comply with all the instructions of the Operator of the BRNO CIRCUIT or the promoter of the respective happening or event. The Operator of the BRNO CIRCUIT or the promoter are entitled, for the reason of ensuring the safety of persons entering the BRNO CIRCUIT, to deny access to anyone to any part of the premises of the BRNO CIRCUIT who does not comply with their instructions.
  20. Every person entering the BRNO CIRCUIT is obliged, in cases where the BRNO CIRCUIT needs to be evacuated, to follow the instructions of the Operator of the BRNO CIRCUIT, and is also obliged to act in such a way that causes no damage to the life, health and property of other persons or induces panic among other persons evacuated from the grounds and premises of the BRNO CIRCUIT.
  21. Every person entering the BRNO CIRCUIT is obliged, when walking between the spectator grandstands, to follow the marked paths designated for this purpose. The Operator shall not be liable for any damages caused by walking and staying beyond the boundaries of the spectator grandstands (both the natural and seat grandstands) and the marked paths.
  22. Every person entering the BRNO CIRCUIT acknowledges and takes due notice that a large number of people may be moving around the grounds of the BRNO CIRCUIT at any one given point in time. Every person entering the BRNO CIRCUIT is obliged to behave considerately towards others and to act in such a way that causes no damage to the life, health or property of others.
  23. Every person entering the BRNO CIRCUIT acknowledges and takes due notice that the employees of the Operator of the BRNO CIRCUIT, the promoter or organizer of the respective happening or event, or other authorized persons may move within the grounds of the BRNO CIRCUIT on bicycles, scooters, motorcycles or in cars, and that in the interests of safety they too are obliged to exercise great caution whilst moving around the grounds of the BRNO CIRCUIT.
  24. It is strictly prohibited to throw any objects on the race track and into the security zone and adjacent premises.
  25. Unless otherwise specified by the Operator of the BRNO CIRCUIT or the promoter of the individual sporting event, that dogs are permitted entry to the BRNO CIRCUIT on the condition that the dog is on a leash and wears a muzzle at all times.
  26. Smoking is allowed at the BRNO CIRCUIT, unless explicitly prohibited. Any visitor who breaches a ban on smoking may be may be removed from the grounds of the BRNO CIRCUIT without any compensation.
  27. Open fires of any form are strictly prohibited in the grounds of the BRNO CIRCUIT.
  28. Access to the BRNO CIRCUIT will be denied to persons with any kind of transmission devices, be it data, video or audio. Transmissions and facilitation of transmissions, narration, making pictures and reproduction of the course of events in any way, including the internet and cell phones is prohibited. It is prohibited (without prior consent of the Operator of the BRNO CIRCUIT and the promoter of the event) to take pictures and make video and audio recordings during events, including breaks. Any and all video and audio recordings made at the BRNO CIRCUIT, thereon or therein may not be used for commercial purposes without the prior consent of the Operator of the BRNO CIRCUIT and the promoter of an event. Unauthorized use, transmission, narration or reproduction of any logo or trademark of the BRNO CIRCUIT is strictly prohibited.
  29. The following apply to every Motorcycle Racing World Championship event held at the BRNO CIRCUIT:
    - no photographs or recordings may be used for any kind of public advertising, exposition or any similar purpose (with the exception of personal use) without the written consent of the company, Dorna Sports S.L. (hereinafter referred to only as “Dorna"),
    - the holder of the entrance ticket grants Dorna, the Circuit and the person designated by them the right to use their picture (photograph) in any live or staged demonstration or any other transmission or repeated recording from the event, without specifying their rights to publish and/or for commercial purposes, whilst at the same time they confirm that they have accepted a corresponding counter-value for granting these rights,
    - all rights for broadcasting, recording, photographing, replaying, reproducing or repeating the recordings from the event are reserved by Dorna,
    - the holder of the entrance ticket agrees that they shall not take any legal actions or shall not induce any other person to take legal actions against Dorna and/or the Circuit, and
    - the holder of the entrance ticket agrees that they shall comply with the terms and conditions referred to on their ticket, as well as the instructions for visitors displayed at the entrances to the grounds.
  30. The following apply to holders of entrance tickets for all events and happenings held at the BRNO CIRCUIT, in particular for every event of the Motorcycle Racing World Championship:
    -waives all legal claims that could arise from any injuries or damages caused or sustained in relation to their presence at the event,
    - waives any and all rights/claims they can apply at the present time or at any time in the future, indemnifies and
    - agrees that they shall not take any legal steps or induce other persons to take any legal steps against the International Motorcycle Federation, the DORNA company, the IRTA company, the Circuit match-makers or any other companies related to the organization of the respective event, including their affiliated branches, directors, officials, employees, agents, suppliers, representatives and contract partners in case of injury, death, damages or losses, that may be incurred to the holder of the entrance ticket or caused as a result or in connection to the presence of the holder of the entrance ticket at the event.
  31. It is prohibited to engage in any marketing or advertising activities at the BRNO CIRCUIT which are not authorized by the Operator of the BRNO CIRCUIT and the promoter of an event.
  32. Every person entering the BRNO CIRCUIT agrees without any further notice that their image or portrait can be used free of charge in any video recording, transmission or reproduction of the competition for commercial and promotional purposes within the context of the whole event or a part thereof and in relation to the BRNO CIRCUIT, the promoter and their sponsors.
  33. Every person entering the BRNO CIRCUIT has a duty to surrender all items they find within the grounds of the BRNO CIRCUIT to the Operator of the BRNO CIRCUIT or the promoter of an event.
  34. Compensation for any damages caused by visitors will be handled according to the effective laws and regulations of the Czech Republic.
  35. The Operator of the BRNO CIRCUIT and the promoter of an event do not assume any responsibility for lost items or theft committed by other persons, with the exception of things expressly taken by the Operator of the BRNO CIRCUIT or the promoter of an event into safekeeping within the grounds designated for this purpose (e.g. locker rooms).
  36. In the event of an evacuation of the grounds of the BRNO CIRCUIT, every person present at the BRNO CIRCUIT is obliged to follow the instructions of persons authorized to manage the evacuation.
